READING Raiders Rugby League Club is calling on businesses across Berkshire to take part in its raffle to become a shirt sponsor.

Companies have until Saturday, 1 April, to enter the draw with the winner being picked at random from a hat on Sunday, 2 April, and earning a spot on the back of the Raiders shirt below the number.

All participating businesses will get a mention on the club’s website and the opportunity to promote special offers to Raiders members.

Raiders Chairman, Andrew Belt, said: “After managing to play a few games last year, this year we are planning for a full season of games and therefore, costs are increasing.

“We are very fortunate to have Grosvenor Casinos on board as our principal sponsor which enables us to host four games in the county but there are other costs to contend with so we thought this could be a fun way to encourage more Berkshire businesses to become involved with us.

“We are Berkshire’s only open age rugby league team which we feel gives us a USP and we hope people respond to our raffle which hopefully will lead to us forging good links with other organisations in the region.”

Entries are £50 per company. Email readingroyalsrlfc@gmail.com to take part or find out more information about the raffle or other sponsorship opportunities.
